The Penn Hills Volunteer Fire Service is 100% Volunteer.
We leave our families and friends in times of need in the community
with no compensation. With the times, financial support from the community
as well as volunteering are at an all-time low.
We need
your help to help you.
Call your
local station for information to find out how you
can support our service.
Penn Hills was hit with remnants of Hurricane Ike with wind gusts reported
near 70 mph. The volunteer firefighters responded to over 80 calls for
assistance over a six hour period of time, including trees into homes,
a possible house fire, several downed utility lines, trees blocking
roadways, transformer explosions and other various resident assistance
calls.
As always, dial 9-1-1 for emergencies.
